Como parte de los trabajos realizados en materia de cultura, el nuevo ayuntamiento de San Rafael que preside el C.P. Héctor Lagunes Reyes, apoya el trabajo de la difusión de la cultura y la historia local.
El trabajo coordinado entre la dirección de Educación y Cultura a cargo del Lic. Hugo Alberto Vázquez Gómez y el Cronista de San Rafael Carlos Alberto Fernández Callejas, se empieza a realizar recorridos para continuar labores culturales en las escuelas a través de las charlas sobre la historia del municipio de San Rafael.
Este trabajo ha sido del agrado de los habitantes del municipio, pues los maestros incluyen esta charla como material complementario al programa de historia que imparten a los estudiantes del municipio desde nivel primario hasta universitario.
El cronista de la ciudad también se vincula con las direcciones de Educación y Cultura, Comunicación Social, Registro Civil, Deporte y Turismo, como lo dio a conocer el historiador sanrafaelenese a estos directivos.
El nuevo ayuntamiento de San Rafael continuará trabajando apoyando al cronista para hacer posible estas visitas a otras comunidades.
